Who can participate?
If you are an amateur photographer in the graduating Class of 2012 or 2013 in a Genesee County school (public or private), you are able to enter for FREE! Some of these high schools include Davison, Fenton, Flushing, Goodrich, Grand Blanc, Lake Fenton, Linden, Swartz Creek and Powers Catholic.

What’s there to submit and to whom?
Submit a self-portrait (with yourself in it, of course!) to the Jeffrey W. Burger Photography Facebook page. The picture has to be you, yourself, and only yourself. There can be no other persons in the picture besides yourself, but your picture should be unique, creative, and, most of all, it should be you! Have fun, and express yourself! Anything goes (as long as it is legal and in good taste!) and we are open to new ideas.

When are submissions accepted and photos selected?
You can submit your self-portraits after 12:01 a.m. Sunday, January 1, 2012 until the deadline at midnight on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Voting on Facebook will start on Thursday, March 1, 2012 until Saturday, March 31, 2012. The winner of the 2012 or 2013 Senior Self-Portrait Contest will be announced at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2012. The 2012 or 2013 Senior Self-Portrait photo with the most Facebook “Like” clicks wins!

What do you win?
1st Place
An It’s A Senior Thing… and, We Know It! Photoshoot that includes a hair stylist and make-up artist before your 3-hour on-location photoshoot session with unlimited clothing changes. Also, you will receive a $250 print credit towards your print order, an 8×8 custom-made photo album, a proof portfolio of your photoshoot images, and, 5 web-size and watermarked images for your Facebook and/or My Space.

2nd Place
An It’s A Senior Thing… and, We Know It! Photoshoot that includes a 2-hour on-location photoshoot session and unlimited clothing changes. Also, you will receive a $150 print credit towards your print order, a 4×4 custom-made photo album, a proof portfolio of your photoshoot images, and, 5 web-size and watermarked images for your Facebook and/or My Space.

3rd Place

JOB DESCRIPTION
➢ Create and maintain a website and blog;
➢ Coordinate staff requests and archive/process digital files;
➢ Assist with produce postcards and promotional materials;
➢ Develop and design online content, as well as, assist in the production of social media content including video, photographs, etc.
➢ Create online content before, during, and after special events, educational programs, and membership activities.
➢ Progress tracking and schedule management.

QUALIFICATIONS
Besides having an interest in photography, specializing in digital cameras, candidates should have the following:
➢ Must be competent in Photoshop for Mac OSX Platform, Adobe Lightroom and Bridge, and, Excel;
➢ Essential to have their own computer and internet access, cell phone, and transportation;
➢ Need to have solid writing and communication skills; and,
➢ Have practical experience with online media applications and tools including Twitter, Facebook, and, YouTube.

INTERNSHIP DATES (3 month intervals)
Winter: January – March 2012 (application deadline: December 23, 2011)
Spring: April – June 2012 (application deadline: March 25, 2012)
Summer: July – September 2012 (application deadline: June 24, 2012)
Position dates are flexible. Hours: part-time, depending on projects assigned.

COMPENSATION

Yes, Rules are Everywhere… even at Jeffrey W Burger Photography. But our rules are, oh, so modest, you won’t even notice them (modest rules but not so restrictive and overwhelming!); and, they won’t even hurt (at least not in your parent’s pocketbook!).

JWB Photography Rule #1: June 2011 photoshoot session fees will be $150 which needs to be paid by midnight on Friday, May 20, 2011 to book your session. And, $75 of your $150 session fee will go towards your print order!

JWB Photography Rule #2: There is NO minimum print order purchase and NO required deposit for your print order.

JWB Photography Rule #3: For every friend referral you will receive $50 credit towards your print order.

JWB Photography Rule #4: On-line Proof Gallery within two weeks of your photoshoot session and you will have 30 days to view your images to place your print order.

JWB Photography Rule #5: Photo Ordering Consult to assist you in choosing your images.

JWB Photography Rule #6: We have always done your choice of on-location photoshoots only; and, we will schedule your formal yearbook pictures session in the fall at no additional charge.

JWB Photography Rule #7: All our photoshoot sessions include 2-3 hours on-location (with up to 3 approximate areas); unlimited poses (with a professional assistant); unlimited outfit changes; and, a proof portfolio with 50-75 images.

JWB Photography Rule #8: 5 Website and watermarked images for you to post on Facebook; and, images of your photoshoot session on Jeffrey W Burger Photography’s Website and Burger Blog for Seniors.

JWB Photography Rule #9: A custom-made video of your photoshoot session including behind-the-scenes pictures to post on Facebook.
