Class of 2012 or 2013 Senior Self-Portrait Contest (Michigan Senior Photographer)

Who can participate?
If you are an amateur photographer in the graduating Class of 2012 or 2013 in a Genesee County school (public or private), you are able to enter for FREE! Some of these high schools include Davison, Fenton, Flushing, Goodrich, Grand Blanc, Lake Fenton, Linden, Swartz Creek and Powers Catholic.

What’s there to submit and to whom?
Submit a self-portrait (with yourself in it, of course!) to the Jeffrey W. Burger Photography Facebook page. The picture has to be you, yourself, and only yourself. There can be no other persons in the picture besides yourself, but your picture should be unique, creative, and, most of all, it should be you! Have fun, and express yourself! Anything goes (as long as it is legal and in good taste!) and we are open to new ideas.

When are submissions accepted and photos selected?
You can submit your self-portraits after 12:01 a.m. Sunday, January 1, 2012 until the deadline at midnight on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Voting on Facebook will start on Thursday, March 1, 2012 until Saturday, March 31, 2012. The winner of the 2012 or 2013 Senior Self-Portrait Contest will be announced at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2012. The 2012 or 2013 Senior Self-Portrait photo with the most Facebook “Like” clicks wins!

What do you win?
1st Place
An It’s A Senior Thing… and, We Know It! Photoshoot that includes a hair stylist and make-up artist before your 3-hour on-location photoshoot session with unlimited clothing changes. Also, you will receive a $250 print credit towards your print order, an 8×8 custom-made photo album, a proof portfolio of your photoshoot images, and, 5 web-size and watermarked images for your Facebook and/or My Space.

2nd Place
An It’s A Senior Thing… and, We Know It! Photoshoot that includes a 2-hour on-location photoshoot session and unlimited clothing changes. Also, you will receive a $150 print credit towards your print order, a 4×4 custom-made photo album, a proof portfolio of your photoshoot images, and, 5 web-size and watermarked images for your Facebook and/or My Space.

3rd Place
An It’s A Senior Thing… and, We Know It! Photoshoot that includes a 2-hour on-location photoshoot session and unlimited clothing changes. Also, you will receive a $75 print credit towards your print order, and an accordion wallet photo book, a proof portfolio of your photoshoot images, and, 5 web-size and watermarked images for your Facebook and/or My Space.

Submission Details
Upload your Class of 2012 or 2013 Senior Self-Portraits via the Jeffrey W Burger Photography Facebook page. And, send us a https://www.facebook.com/messages/ with your name, email address and a web link to the Facebook photo you posted in the competition.

Tori – Class of 2011, Davison High School – Modeling Session(Top Michigan Photographer)

We spent the afternoon with Tori, Class of 2011 from Davison High School, and, her mom for a fun and sassy Modeling Session. It was an absolutely beautiful day for pictures and Tori’s outfits were perfect… stunning and dramatic! Many images were taken in different areas of our garden location that I can honestly say I could not choose my favorite… they were all just striking!

Tori’s mom, Char, was absolutely a great hair stylist… check-out Tori’s hairstyles. Char also pitched in and helped with the lighting… she is smart and a go-getter, and, did I mention… beautiful to look at?!

We also had a make-up artist, Chrissy, who was just fabulous and did a great job on Tori’s make-up and helped her with her wardrobe. How cool is that?

Char and Chrissy, thank you for being so helpful and fun to be with… you both were so easy going and energetic, and, made the session a blast. Looking forward to working with you both again! And, Tori, thank you, for choosing Jeffrey W Burger Photography! We had an amazing time and hope to get together again to do a lake and beach session, soon!

Brittney – Class of 2010, Davison High School(Michigan Senior Photographer)

When Brittney, a 2010 Davison High School senior, and her family friend, Kim, walked through our studio door we knew we were in for a special treat. They have an incredible connection and bond with one another. When we started discussing possible location ideas, they told me of the most beautiful park near their home. I couldn’t wait for Brittney’s photo shoot session, so we went to scout the location ahead of the session and what a fabulous place it was!

About half way through the shoot we stumbled upon a location where the light was coming through the trees and hitting Brittney just at the right angle and I just started snapping away. And, when Brittney suggested climbing over the rails and walking on the stepping stones of the waterfalls, I was hesitant, at first. Brittney’s passion and drive is awe-inspiring and it’s infectious. It’s so much fun to connect with seniors, like Brittney, that have so much zest for life and adventure. I grabbed my Canon and we took off.

At the end of this special photo shoot session, I realized Brittney had made my job quite easy… as you can see by her sneak peak below! Thanks again Brittney and Kim… you were both so much fun and exciting to work with!
